FacilitationWerks! is a team of experienced professional facilitators who come from all walks of life and backgrounds with one thing in common – they know how to get things done by putting facilitation to work.
Collectively, the team has spent thousands of hours facilitating meetings, leading teams, completing projects on time and on budget and training others in the both the science and art of facilitation.
Team members have earned advanced degrees, hold multiple professional certifications and all have real-world experience in training and coaching, leadership and organizational development, process improvement and change management.
They not only know how facilitation makes work easier but believe facilitation can unleash the potential and power in everyone and every organization to achieve incredible results. They all believe in the joy of work and making a difference in people’s lives and the community in which they live.

Stuart spent “six years, eight months and eight days – not that anyone was counting” on active duty as an Infantry soldier with the 9th Infantry Division (MTZ) at Fort Lewis, WA. Although he made rank quickly, earned his undergraduate degree while on active duty and was recognized as the 1998 9th ID, I-Corp and FORSCOM Soldier of the Year, he says he makes “a better veteran than a soldier.”
Sought after by his fellow veterans, he is tireless in his efforts to help them successfully transition and either find employment or start and operate their own small businesses.
He was recognized with the 2012 Presidential Volunteer Leadership Award by SHRM Atlanta and the Rockdale, GA Rotary club awarded him Rotarian of the Year for his veteran advocacy work. He is also a 2018 Inductee in the Brevard County, Florida Public Service Hall of Fame for Outstanding Military Service.
He has led the Military Affairs Council of the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce and is a founding board member of the Florida Association of Veteran-Owned Businesses – Space Coast Chapter and the 2021-22 Chair. He is a member of the Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, and life member of the Brevard County Veterans Memorial Center.
For the past thirty years he has provided facilitation services in support of process improvement, strategic and operational planning and change management for companies, non-profits, community organizations and government agencies to help them accelerate results.

Stu has studied strategy execution over the past thirty years. He is a past national member of the Association of Strategic Planning and has facilitated or co-facilitated thirty comprehensive and focused strategic planning sessions (innovation to market segmentation) for business, government, and not-for-profit clients.

He has thousands of hours delivering in-person training sessions in leadership, communication, decision-making, resource and project management, quality program management. He has designed and facilitated +500 in-person and virtual meetings, work sessions, off-sites, and retreats to develop plans, solve problems address conflict, build teams, and lead change. He began facilitating small-group leadership programs in US Army leadership schools.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Workforce Education from Southern Illinois University (Carbondale) and a Master of Education, HR Concentration from Seattle University.

He is a life-long learner and student of Dr. Edwards Deming’s Quality Leadership Philosophy. He has an in-depth understanding of Systems Theory and how people work most effectively in organizations.
